Building and Expanding the Cade Museum Brand
I began at the Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention as a Design and Marketing Intern. Upon graduation, I was hired full-time as the Graphic Design Coordinator. I am the first in-house designer for the Cade and work primarily with the Marketing team and Exhibits team. I provide support, however, to all teams including; education, operations, and executive. I've highlighted a couple of my favorite projects below.
Large Scale
Print Materials
My more visible design projects include large-scale print materials like billboards and banners. I am an important part of the process from brainstorming to collaborating on headlines and taglines, through the multi-department approval process, and ultimately production. These projects develop my perspective as I address how they will be viewed, not only by different audiences but also from different visual engagement points.

Kiosk and Theme
Related Graphics
On a bi-monthly basis, the story in the Museum's main rotunda and the programming in adjacent areas change to a new theme. The theme is primarily conveyed through an exhibit displayed on movable kiosks. My role is to create the exhibit by interpreting and converting written content into bite-size concepts expressed through visual aids paired with text. I select, transform, and create photographs and graphics to express the story through the Cade Museum lens.
After the completion, production, and installation of the exhibit, I design and relate the theme into other museum materials including; signs, flyers, and digital slides. I also create marketing and advertising material consistent with the theme.
Brochure Revamp
As a start-up company, the Cade needed to develop a stronger and more consistent set of promotional materials. I led an initiative to create a set of brochures that were streamlined, visually consistent, and easy to understand. I created a flexible visual system that marries light illustrations with lots of informational text. The new brochures improve our public image and help build Cade brand recognition.
Collaborators: Sue Draddy (Marketing Director) and Kendall Brandt (Design Intern)

eNewsletter and Digital Advertising
eNewsletter and Digital Advertising
Along with print materials, I provide support to our digital advertising and social media. Depending on the digital space, I create ads that are both evergreen & run year-round, as well as monthly specific centered on the current museum theme.
We also reinforce our brand presence in emails. To refresh the Cade eNewsletters, I designed a template focused on hierarchy. By highlighting key events and selected programming with new blocks and color organization, readers can more easily find what is most interesting and relevant to them.
